CBI Files Closure Report in Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case, Concluding No Foul Play

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially filed its closure report in the high-profile cases surrounding the tragic death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. After a comprehensive investigation spanning several months, the CBI has concluded that there is no evidence to support the theory of foul play in the actor’s demise. This significant development brings an end to the intense scrutiny and speculation that had gripped the nation since Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020.

The CBI’s investigation was initiated following a request from the Bihar government, after the Mumbai Police’s initial probe faced criticism and demands for a more thorough investigation. The case garnered significant media attention and public interest, with various theories and allegations circulating widely.

The primary focus of the CBI investigation revolved around the circumstances leading to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and the allegations of abetment to suicide and financial misappropriation leveled by his family against his then-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her family.

In his complaint, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father had accused Rhea Chakraborty of several serious charges, including abetting his son’s suicide, exploiting him financially, and isolating him from his family. These allegations formed the core of the CBI’s investigation.

Simultaneously, Rhea Chakraborty had also filed a complaint in Mumbai, alleging that Sushant’s sisters had obtained a fraudulent medical prescription for him, which she claimed was used to procure drugs for him. This aspect was also thoroughly examined by the CBI as part of its overall investigation.

After conducting a detailed inquiry, which involved questioning numerous individuals, analyzing forensic evidence, and examining financial transactions, the CBI has now submitted its closure report to the relevant court. Sources indicate that the report has ruled out any criminal conspiracy or wrongdoing in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

This effectively clears Rhea Chakraborty and her family of the serious allegations they were facing. The CBI’s findings are expected to bring a sense of closure to the long-drawn legal battle and the intense public debate surrounding the actor’s death.

The filing of the closure report marks a significant turning point in this case, which had captured the attention of millions across the country. The court will now review the CBI’s findings, and further legal proceedings will depend on the court’s decision.
